This is just more ‘Bleep’ for the record

Yes, This is just more ‘bleep’  for when I or someone else looks back and sees that my life wasn’t always easy, or that I wasn’t always so… confidant, self assured, etc.

So…I am still having problems with some of the same issues with my computer as when I started this site. And…the Mac software, “Pages” that I downloaded from the Apple store is not only not working properly, but it is missing things that should clearly be there, and Apple didn’t send me an email receipt that I bought it from them.

And where’s my credit card bill?  Who knows.  It is coincidentally missing as well.

I have GAINED some patience and perseverance.

But presently, it’s looking like I’ll have to take my computer in once again, And have them fix it, so that if it still has problems, more money doesn’t come out of my pocket.  This is the deal that I will make sure happens.  None of this,”You need more memory, but we don’t sell it here.”stuff.   Sure, the memory helped mostly solved one issue (but not the rest), but it would have been better if I got them to test their solution theory before I spent the money buying the solution (new memory).

I do keep remembering that Michael Jordan said something to the effect that he did make a lot of baskets but he also missed a lot too.

Either I’m going to have find a way to except all the missing, making mistakes, and learning some things the hard way, or else I’m going to have to look for a more repetitive, less learning, type of career and lifestyle.

Avoid Looking Down

And so it has happened what I did not want to happen…

I have been to a number of business lectures, where a successful entrepreneur heads to the middle of the stage to say how she/he did it.

Quite often, they said they finally managed to speak with the CEO of the (large) company, and then following deals were a result of that one ‘big’ call.

Before the phone call, many of the entrepreneurs  described how it took great hard work including doing what they feared and doing what they hated.

I found many of these lectures to be negative.

I was longing for someone to stand up and say,” It was easy. All we had  to do was…”

And so that is part of my intention, of this blog.  To keep a record of how easy it really is to make a lot of money.

So far, I’m failing though, as I am once again faced with doing things that I rather dislike.  I could pay someone to do what I’m doing but this would cut a big chunk of my profit.

I could quit, and say that it just isn’t worth terrorizing myself (it’s not that bad) to earn a small amount of money, but really I am learning a lot about communication and project management -knowledge that will come in very handy as my learning, experiences, and cash flow builds up.

Now, I tell myself that it will get easier, because it will get easier.  What I learn from what I experience will compound.  The practice of learning, including facing my fears, will/is becoming a daily habit.  Things that were stressful will/are becoming less stressful.

(Sure I got sick for a couple of days, which at this time, caused me to slow down.)  But really, I believe that all anyone has to do is to keep going,  don’t stop, (except for occasional breaks), don’t look down, accept to look for a nice view, and keep climbing up until we reach the top of the mountain we’re climbing.

affiliate information addiction

It’s like an addiction.  All this information about making money or about anything for that matter.   There are so many people selling products that are described as either ‘going to make you rich’ or ‘making you that extra money that you want’. Some say it will be easy. and some say it will take a lot of hard work.

I’m particularly not fond of the businesses that say for e.g. that you can have access to all of their library for only one dollar.  And then it becomes one dollar for a trial.  And then when you’re about to give them their one dollar, the small print says $1 for a 1week trial and $87 will be removed from you account every month after that.

(This is an old trap that I’ve seen before, but I forgot, I think, partly because I am in a rush to make some cash, and also because my thinking was that if they get $1 from a million people they get a million dollars.  This thinking seemed sensible.  And I would have paid it if they didn’t try to get the approx.$87 from me.  Now they get nothing.

I suppose the lesson, I could learn from the above, is to try not to get greedy.  or to a least be open (easily seen) about what is going to occur.

Anyway, I think that a lot of people are looking for opportunities to learn things and make money in the quickest, easiest, manner.  So there is this opportunity for people to teach others to learn quickly, and make money from this.  (And there’s opportunities for the dishonest business person also).

It’s difficult knowing who knows what;  salespersons  could have given me all the information they know on the subject in their sales pitch/demo.

In retrospect, I could have looked for information about their business on LinkedIn, and otherwise searched for info about their business.

I think that from now on I’m just going to stick to learning from people I’ve met and from my own searching.  Of course I’ll continue to stay vigilante about recognizing that there’s a lot of stuff that I don’t know exists or hasn’t been created yet.
